Do you make software for businesses in the Netherlands? Then you can book a sponsored placement. It is always recognisable as advertising.
Book a placement yourself
You book a placement per week, for a fixed price, through Made by Spin Advertise. You pay there, get an invoice, and your advertisement runs once we have approved it. An advertisement has a title, a short text and optionally a logo, and always appears with the label Sponsored.

A placement with your tool card
Want your regular tool card as a sponsored placement, with the facts and the Netherlands check? We arrange that by hand, on request. Where such a card is shown, we do not show an advertisement from above. A placement runs from a start date to an end date. Your tool must be in the guide and fit the placement: the same category, and for the free list a free plan.
Category page
Above the list of your own category, with at most 2 sponsored tools at a time.
Alternatives
On "Alternative to …" in your category: above the list, and if there are more sponsors, one card after the third tool.
Free software
On the list of free tools in your category, only if your tool has a permanent free plan.
Comparisons
One card below the comparisons between two other tools in your category.
Search box
At the top of the tools in the search box, only when someone searches for something in your category.
Homepage
One card below the featured tools on the homepage.
Always labelled
Every sponsored placement has the label Sponsored at the top and the explanation "Why am I seeing this?". Dutch and European law require this (the Unfair Commercial Practices Act (Wet oneerlijke handelspraktijken), the guidance of the ACM and the Digital Services Act). You cannot leave out or replace the label; you may add a short text of your own next to it.
The button to your website is marked as a paid link (rel="sponsored"). We count the clicks on a sponsored placement separately from other clicks, so we can tell you what the placement delivered.
What is not for sale
- The Netherlands check: it follows only from the facts on your own website.
- Our verdict, the badges, and the awards or "best for" labels.
- The order of a list. Your tool keeps its own place there, with the same number, even when it is sponsored above it.
- What we write about your tool. A maker who advertises can also only have facts changed with a source.
We can refuse a placement, for example if the text is misleading or the tool does not fit the placement.
Price and contact
An advertisement has a fixed price per week, which you see on the booking page before you pay. Every fourth week you book is free.
A placement with your tool card is priced on request. Get in touch through the submission form: fill in the name of your tool, tick that you work there and put "Advertising" in the notes, with the placement and the period you are looking for. We reply by email.
