What is CleverReach?
CleverReach is a newsletter tool from CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG in Rastede, close to the Dutch border. You create newsletters with a drag-and-drop editor, build automations and connect your web shop or CRM. According to CleverReach, all data is stored on servers in Germany and the EU, double opt-in is the default for signup forms and you sign the data processing agreement online in your account. The data centres are ISO 27001 certified. The software is available in German, English, French, Italian, Dutch and Spanish, and there is a Dutch website. CleverReach only sells to businesses.
Good: a permanent free plan (Lite) for 250 recipients, cancel monthly with no setup fee, and the data stays in Germany and the EU.
Less good: Lite is limited to 1,000 emails per month and one automation. Free support is by email; personal phone support is a paid option, and the site does not say whether it is available in Dutch.
