What is MoneyMonk?
MoneyMonk is a bookkeeping package from MoneyMonk B.V. in Utrecht, founded in 2012 by the brothers Jorgen and Jasper Horstink. You use it to create invoices and quotes, send e-invoices through Peppol, connect your bank through PSD2 and prepare the VAT return and income tax for freelancers. There is also time, mileage and project tracking, and an app for scanning receipts. According to the privacy statement, data is in principle processed within the EEA; some suppliers may process it outside the EEA under the EU standard contractual clauses. MoneyMonk signs a data processing agreement with customers.
Good: starters use it free for the first 15 months, and you can cancel monthly. After cancelling you can still export your data.
Less good: the plan depends on your revenue and number of bank transactions, so the price can grow with you. An iDEAL button on your invoice only works with your own Mollie account.
