Short verdict

Good fit for

Freelancers (zzp) and shops who want to build a simple site or web shop themselves and later add a point of sale.

Less suited to

Anyone looking for a lot of design freedom or a wide choice of integrations; the site only names a few payment providers.

Key facts

  • Website €12.50, Webshop €33.50 per month
  • One month free trial, no credit card needed
  • Personal data processed only within the EEA according to the privacy statement

What is Pagewize?

Pagewize is a website builder from Pagewize B.V. in Arnhem. You choose a theme, build pages and a blog, and can also edit the site from your phone. The Webshop plan adds products, orders, track & trace and payments via PAY., PayPal or Rabo Smart Pay, including iDEAL. The most expensive plan adds a point of sale for iPad and iPhone. According to the privacy statement (from WebIQ B.V., at the same address), personal data is processed only within the EEA. We did not find a data processing agreement for customers.

Good: you can try it free for a month and then pay monthly or yearly, and cancel at any time. Website, web shop and point of sale are in one system, so stock and orders are in one place.

Less good: you cannot downgrade from web shop to website. The annual discount is not shown as an amount on the pricing page, and neither is whether prices exclude VAT. The point of sale only works on Apple devices.
