What is Testimonial?
Testimonial is a tool from Lonely Dev Inc in Spokane (US) for collecting testimonials. You send customers a form in which they leave text or a video, and you show the best ones on your site with a Wall of Love or a standalone widget. You can also import reactions from social media and review sites. Stars in Google search results (rich snippets) are included in Ultimate and above.
According to the privacy policy, the servers are in the US; the service runs on Google Cloud and videos go through Mux. According to the security page, you only get a data processing agreement (DPA) with the Enterprise plan. Testimonial says it is SOC 2 Type II certified.
Good: a nice testimonial page and widgets quickly, also on the free plan. You can download videos as MP4.
Less good: prices are in dollars, data is in the US and a DPA comes with Enterprise. The free plan stops at 10 texts and 2 videos in total.
