What is Crowdtech?
Crowdtech is based in Amsterdam and was founded in 2012 to sell MWM2’s research technology internationally; it is now also active in Germany, France and the United Kingdom. With Survey you build and distribute questionnaires with routing, randomisation and quotas, by email, WhatsApp or on your website, and analyse the results in dashboards or after exporting to SPSS, Excel or Power BI. There are also modules for your own research panel and an online community.
According to its Trust Center, Crowdtech runs on self-managed servers in the Equinix data centres AM5 and AM8 in Amsterdam, without cloud services such as AWS for storage. AI features run via European endpoints: Microsoft Azure in West Europe and Mistral. The data processing agreement, based on the template of the industry association D&IN, can be downloaded there.
Good: strong on privacy and security, with ISO 27001 and 27701, data in Amsterdam and single sign-on via Microsoft Entra ID, eHerkenning or SURFconext. The pricing page gives concrete starting prices.
Less good: it is software for people who do research regularly, with an annual price via a quote; there is no free plan or monthly subscription. The pricing page does not state a term or notice period.
