What is Lindy?
Lindy is an AI assistant from Crivello Corp, which does business as Lindy and is registered in Oregon (US). You give Lindy work through Slack, iMessage, the browser or your email: it manages your inbox, drafts replies in your style, schedules meetings, records them and takes notes, and sends you daily briefings. Lindy works with more than 1,500 apps, including Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, Notion and HubSpot. Anything with outside impact, such as sending an email or updating a ticket, waits for your approval.
You pay per user in credits: bigger jobs use more credits, and all of a team’s credits go into one pool. When they run out, Lindy pauses until the next cycle or until you top up. You can cancel at any time and it takes effect at the end of the paid period; purchases are not refunded.
According to the terms (lindy.ai/terms-of-service), the service is hosted in the US. The terms include data processing provisions for the GDPR, with standard contractual clauses if you need them, and there is an EU representative in France. Lindy says it does not sell your data or use it to train AI models. If you record meetings, tell participants that notes are being taken.
Good: one assistant for email, calendar and meetings that works in your existing tools, and you can try it without a credit card.
Less good: prices in dollars, a credit system that is hard to estimate in advance, and your data is in the US.
