What is OutSmart?
OutSmart is work order and field service software from OutSmart International B.V. in Nieuwegein, founded in 2012 and part of Visma since 2022. Technicians fill in work orders on their phone or tablet, with materials and hours, and at the office you plan the work on a planning board and invoice completed orders. The more expensive plans add quotes, asset management, contracts with SLAs, project management and calculations. OutSmart says it uses European data centres; the data processing agreement is an appendix to the terms and conditions.
Good: there are integrations with almost every Dutch accounting package, from Moneybird and e-Boekhouden.nl to Exact Online, AFAS and SnelStart, and with TOPdesk and Teamleader. Invoices can go through Peppol (a Power-Up at €10.50 per month). You can try it free for 14 days.
Less good: a lot comes in separate Power-Ups and each integration costs extra per month, so the bill adds up. There is no monthly subscription: the contract runs per year or quarter and renews automatically.
