What is VIXY?
VIXY is an online video platform from Amsterdam, founded in 2012. NEP The Netherlands, known for TV production, has been a co-owner since 2016. You upload videos, manage them in a media library with categories and metadata, and embed them on your website, intranet or learning environment with a player in your own branding. There is an API for your own integrations, and the more expensive plans add livestreaming and selling through subscriptions or pay-per-view.
According to VIXY, videos are stored entirely in the EU, in an ISO 27001 certified environment. A standard data processing agreement comes with Pro and Business; Enterprise gets a custom one.
Good: EU hosting, no ads, accessible video and your own branded player already in Pro. The pricing page is clear about what extra storage and streaming cost.
Less good: steeply priced for small businesses, and livestreaming, phone support and guided onboarding only come with Business (€1,200 per month). VIXY does not name ready-made integrations; integrating goes through the API.
