What is Julius?
Julius is an AI workspace for data analysis from Caesar Labs, Inc. in San Francisco (US). You upload a CSV, Excel file, PDF or JSON, or connect a database, and ask your question in plain language. Julius turns it into charts, statistical analyses, reports and dashboards and shows the code it wrote to do so. You export presentations to PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides. Julius also makes websites, images and video.
According to the security page, all data is stored and processed in the US; the list of sub-processors names AWS and Google Cloud for storage. Julius is SOC 2 Type II certified. The terms only mention a data processing agreement if you conclude one together; there is no standard version on the site. Note: Julius may share what you upload with AI providers to improve their models, unless you opt out via privacy@julius.ai.
Good: you do not need to know formulas or code, the free plan is enough to try it out, and you can connect a database such as BigQuery, Snowflake or Postgres.
Less good: prices are in dollars, all data is in the US, and unless you opt out your data may be used to improve AI models. Credits expire every month.
