What is Postcode API?
Postcode API is from Postcode API B.V. in Nijmegen. You send a postcode and house number to the REST API and get the street and town back in JSON, so customers have less to type in a form. According to the site the data is updated daily. The API runs serverless on AWS; the region is not stated. Arrangements for processing personal data on behalf of the customer are in article 10 of the terms and conditions.
Good: the bundles have a fixed price per month and can be cancelled without notice at the end of the period. There are SDKs and plug-ins for WooCommerce, WordPress and Magento, among others.
Less good: Dutch addresses only, and you pay by credit card or direct debit (with an annual subscription also by invoice). The terms and privacy statement date from 2019.
