What is Scaledmail?
Scaledmail is a managed service for cold outreach email, that is, email to people who have not signed up with you. According to the terms, Beanstalk Products LLC in Florida (US) is the contracting party. Scaledmail registers or connects domains, creates mailboxes at Google, Microsoft or through SMTP, sets up SPF, DKIM and DMARC and monitors deliverability. It is not sending software: you connect the mailboxes to a tool such as Instantly, Smartlead or lemlist. The terms themselves call Scaledmail a reseller of domains and mailboxes.
The privacy statement says all information is processed and stored in the US. The privacy statement and the terms do not mention a data processing agreement. Also watch the rules: in the Netherlands you often may not send unsolicited commercial email, so first find out what the Telecommunications Act and the GDPR mean for your target group.
Good: you do not have to handle the technology behind dozens of mailboxes yourself, and the price per mailbox is low.
Less good: it is a niche service for cold email, with prices in dollars, data in the US and no refunds. The site does not give the company’s address or city.
