What is Klaviyo?
Klaviyo is a marketing platform from Klaviyo, Inc. with its head office in Boston (US). You send email and SMS to web shop customers and segment on orders, product views and click behaviour. Klaviyo stores customer data in the United States by default, in the AWS data centre in Virginia. Since 15 September 2026, eligible new contract customers can start in an EU environment in Germany, in limited availability. The DPA is part of the agreement.
Good: ready-made integrations with web shop platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce and Shopware, and a free plan to test.
Less good: data is stored in the US by default, and EU storage is only for a limited group of new contract customers. Paid prices are in dollars only.
