What is Notion?
Notion is a workspace from Notion Labs, Inc. in San Francisco (US). You write documents and wikis and build databases that you view as a task board, table, calendar or timeline, with subtasks and dependencies. By default data is stored in the US; data storage in the EU (Frankfurt, with Ireland as backup) is only available to customers on an Enterprise plan. Notion offers a Data Processing Addendum with the subscription terms, with the EU standard contractual clauses.
Good: the interface is in Dutch, and prices on the site are in euros.
Less good: you build project management yourself with databases, which takes more set-up than a ready-made project tool. EU data storage requires Enterprise.
