Less suited to

Key facts

- Platform runs on AWS in Ireland, failover site in France
- Pre-signed data processing agreement (DPA)
What is Deel?
Deel is an American HR and payroll platform. For the Netherlands it mainly offers Employer of Record (EOR): Deel hires your employee, is the legal employer and handles local laws, taxes and employment terms on your behalf, while you direct the day-to-day work. That is different from payroll software such as Nmbrs or Loket, where you run payroll yourself as the employer. If you do have your own Dutch entity, you can, according to Deel, also use Global Payroll for your own staff. The platform runs on AWS in Ireland with a failover site in France; marketing data is stored in the US. Deel has a pre-signed data processing agreement (DPA) for customers.
Good: you can hire someone in the Netherlands without your own entity, cancellable monthly, and the platform data is in the EU.
Less good: prices are in dollars only, and Global Payroll has no public price. Deel does not say whether support and the app are available in Dutch, and integrations with Dutch accounting packages are not listed in the marketplace.
