What is Rippling?
Rippling is an HR, IT and payroll platform from Rippling People Center Inc. in San Francisco. For the Netherlands, Rippling offers Employer of Record (EOR): the EOR is the only formal employer, signs the employment contract with your employee and handles payroll taxes and compliance, while you direct the work. You then need no Dutch entity of your own. There is also Global Payroll for staff at your own entity abroad, but Rippling does not say separately whether that also applies to the Netherlands. That differs from Nmbrs or Loket, with which you as an employer do the Dutch payroll yourself. According to the security page, all data is in AWS data centres in the US. Rippling publishes a data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum).
Good: EOR, HR, IT management and payroll in one system, with integrations with Xero, QuickBooks and NetSuite, among others.
Less good: the data is in the US, prices are only in dollars and “from” amounts, and Rippling’s Dutch pages are mostly English. Rippling does not mention Dutch-language support or integrations with Dutch accounting packages.
