What is Webnode?

Webnode is a website builder from Webnode AG in Zürich; the daily work is done by Webnode s.r.o. in Brno. You can build a site for free with the editor or the AI website generator and only pay when you want your own domain, more storage or a web shop. In the web shop (from Standaard) you receive iDEAL through a linked Stripe account. The data processing agreement applies through the general terms; the privacy statement does not say where the data is stored, only “on Webnode’s servers”.

Good: the free plan has no end date, and the entry plan Limited is cheap if you only want to connect your own domain.

Less good: Limited has no web shop and cannot be paid monthly. Support goes through a contact form, with a reply within 24 hours on working days.
