What is Acuity Scheduling?
Acuity Scheduling is a scheduling tool from Squarespace in New York; for users outside the US, Squarespace Ireland Limited in Dublin is responsible for personal data. Clients pick a free slot themselves, fill in an intake form and automatically receive confirmations and reminders by email. In every plan you can charge for appointments or ask for a deposit via Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo; whether iDEAL via Stripe works, Acuity does not say. Squarespace’s privacy policy says data may go to servers in the US. Squarespace has a data processing agreement (DPA), but it does not name Acuity.
Good: intake forms, reminders and payments are already in the cheapest plan. There are integrations with calendars, Zoom and email tools.
Less good: no free plan and prices in dollars only. Data goes to the US, and Dutch is not among the site’s languages.
