What is Framer?
Framer is a website builder from Framer B.V., based on the Rozengracht in Amsterdam. You design your site on a canvas like in a design program, with a CMS, multilingual support and AI help, and publish it directly on Framer’s hosting. According to the privacy statement, that hosting runs at Amazon Web Services and data also goes to countries outside the EEA, such as the US, where the servers are. The data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) applies through the terms.
Good: a Dutch company, with a free plan to start with and a lot of design freedom.
Less good: prices are in dollars only, and Framer has no web shop or payment feature of its own; for that you need third-party plug-ins and, for example, Stripe.
