What is Shopify?
Shopify is a web shop platform from Canada’s Shopify Inc. in Ottawa. You build a shop with themes, sell through the built-in checkout and extend it with apps from the Shopify App Store, including from Sendcloud, PostNL, Moneybird and Channable. You receive iDEAL via Shopify Payments or an external payment provider. Shopify offers a Data Processing Addendum, but it states that data may be processed in any country where Shopify or its service providers are located, including Canada and Singapore.
Good: the admin is in Dutch, and iDEAL via Shopify Payments has a fixed rate of €0.29.
Less good: if you use another payment provider, you pay 2% transaction fees to Shopify on Basic. We did not find in the current help documentation whether support is available in Dutch.
