What is Aircall?
Aircall is cloud telephony from Aircall, founded in Paris, which names New York and Paris as headquarters. You call from the app or your CRM, set up a call menu and queues, and have calls recorded and transcribed; AI Voice Agents can also handle calls themselves. According to the help centre, you buy local Dutch (+31) numbers yourself in the dashboard with a business or private address in the Netherlands; national and toll-free numbers are also possible. New accounts get a storage region based on the country code at sign-up; the EU region is in Frankfurt, but that does not yet apply to all types of data and the privacy FAQ also mentions storage in the US. The data processing agreement (DPA) is on the site.
Good: the Netherlands falls under the national calling minutes, you can request a +31 number yourself and Aircall integrates with many CRM and helpdesk systems.
Less good: you are tied to a minimum of 3 licences. According to the help centre, the dashboard is not available in Dutch, Aircall does not mention Dutch-language support, and not all data is demonstrably stored in the EU.
