What is Buffer?
Buffer is a social media scheduler from Buffer, Inc. in San Francisco (US). You put posts in a queue or calendar for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads and Google Business Profile, among others, reply to comments in a shared inbox and view analytics. You pay per channel, so you add or remove channels when your client base changes.
Buffer says it is based in the US and that data may be held by partners inside or outside the EEA. For data from the EEA, Buffer falls under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We did not find a data processing agreement on Buffer’s legal page; request one yourself if you process customer data.
Good: the free plan is permanent and the paid plan is cheap if you only have a few channels.
Less good: prices are in dollars and the price rises with every channel. Buffer does not say exactly where your data is stored.
