What is Metricool?
Metricool is a tool to plan and analyse social media from Metricool Software, S.L. in Madrid (Spain). You plan posts for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google Business Profile, among others, answer messages in one inbox, follow competitors and make reports. You pay per number of brands, which is handy if you manage several clients or businesses. The website is also available in Dutch.
Metricool says it stores all data on servers within the European Union. For the data you process as a customer through Metricool, Metricool is a processor; the data processing agreement (DPA) is part of the terms and you can request a signed copy. Only if you connect your own domain does visitors’ IP address go through Cloudflare in the US.
Good: a permanent free plan, prices in euros and data in the EU, from a European company.
Less good: the free plan does not plan on LinkedIn and X, and has only 20 posts per month. Metricool does not say whether the app itself is in Dutch.
