What is Copper?
Copper is a CRM from Copper CRM, Inc. in San Francisco (US). It works inside Gmail and the rest of Google Workspace: contacts, emails, appointments and files from Google Calendar and Drive end up with your customers and deals. You track deals in a pipeline and connect Slack, QuickBooks and Xero, among others.
Copper says its servers are in the US and that storage elsewhere is not possible. The Data Protection Addendum is part of the terms, with the EU standard contractual clauses attached; these apply automatically to customers in the EU. Copper also takes part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Good: it works in Gmail, so you do not need to open a separate app. You can try it free for 14 days without a credit card.
Less good: data is only in the US, and prices are in dollars. There is no free plan and Copper does not mention a Dutch version.
