What is Demi?
Demi is an AI assistant from Proactive Labs Inc. in San Francisco (US). You install the app on your Mac and connect Gmail or Outlook, your calendar, Slack and your CRM. Demi writes draft replies in your tone, prepares a briefing for your meetings, schedules appointments, lines up follow-ups and updates your CRM. In the morning and the evening you get an overview of what is waiting for you. Demi sends nothing by itself: you approve every action first. The site does not mention a Windows version and does not say which languages it handles.
The privacy statement says Demi sends your content to AI model providers, without naming them, and that your data may be used to improve models unless you turn that off. Data from Google is never used for this. The statement mentions no storage location, no GDPR and no data processing agreement. Demi does mention SOC 2 Type II and a CASA Tier 2 assessment.
Good: you can start free, it works with many tools at once and nothing goes out without your approval.
Less good: Mac only, prices in dollars, and no information about GDPR, a DPA or where your data is stored.
