What is Appy.AI?
Appy.AI is a platform from AppyPeople, Inc. in Miami (US), founded in 2024 according to the site. In Slack, Microsoft Teams, email or Telegram you give a goal to “Violet”, the Director of AI, and she puts a specialised agent to work, for example on market research, social media, customer service or sales. You can also have custom agents built and have tasks run at set times. Every action is logged. The site mentions integrations with more than 900 apps.
The data processing agreement (appy.ai/platform/dpa) applies automatically to every customer on every plan, and all processing takes place in the US. Standard contractual clauses apply to transfers from the EU, and there is an EU representative. The site names no security certificate such as SOC 2. The team on the site is small (eight people) and the examples for accounting and payroll assume American tools.
Good: you can try it for free, add unlimited colleagues, and the DPA applies on every plan.
Less good: a young and small company with no named certification, everything in the US, and prices in dollars.
