What is Circleback?
Circleback is an AI note-taker from Circleback AI, Inc. in the US. It joins Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex and Slack huddles through your calendar, or records through the desktop app without a bot joining. You can also record in-person conversations. You get a report with action items and can later search across all your meetings. Circleback says it supports more than 100 languages and names Dutch among them.
According to the data processing agreement (circleback.ai/dpa), processing mainly takes place in the US; transfers from the EU go through the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which Circleback is certified. There is a SOC 2 Type II report and customer data is not used to train models. The site says nothing about informing participants: you arrange that yourself, especially if you record without a bot.
Good: a generous free plan, recording with or without a bot, and Dutch is among the languages.
Less good: no option to store data in the EU, and prices are in dollars only.
