What is Dex?
Dex is a personal CRM from Dana HQ Inc. (US), founded in 2019. It pulls your contacts from LinkedIn, Gmail, Outlook, your calendar and messaging apps such as WhatsApp and iMessage, and reminds you when it is time to talk to someone again. You work in the app on your phone, in the browser, on the desktop or through the browser extension. It is meant for your own network, not as a sales pipeline for a sales team.
According to the security page, all servers and databases are in the US, with providers that hold SOC 2 and ISO 27001; the privacy statement mentions Google Cloud. The privacy statement, the terms and the security page do not mention a data processing agreement, and they do not mention GDPR by name either.
Good: useful if your network is your main source of work, with LinkedIn sync already in the cheapest plan.
Less good: prices in dollars, data in the US and no data processing agreement on the site. There is no free plan and the free trial is only 6 days.
