What is Jace?
Jace is an AI assistant for email from Zeta AI, Inc. in Wilmington (US), the same company that makes Viktor. You connect your inbox in Gmail or Outlook (Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com) and Jace sorts your mail with labels, writes draft replies in your style and can include your calendar and Slack as context. With rules you let it handle recurring mails. There is no app of its own for iPhone or Android yet; you use the mobile app of Gmail or Outlook, in which Jace’s drafts and labels simply appear.
According to the privacy statement, your data is mainly with AWS in the US and may also be processed elsewhere. Jace uses AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Microsoft, among others, and says it does not train on your mail. For transfers out of the EU, Jace names standard contractual clauses, and there is a representative in the EU. The privacy statement refers to a data processing agreement, but it is not public on the site. Jace mentions SOC 2 Type 1 and a CASA Tier 3 assessment.
Good: works on top of your existing Gmail or Outlook, with a one-week trial and 30-day money-back.
Less good: no free plan, prices in dollars, everything is in the US and the data processing agreement is not public.
