What is Krisp?
Krisp is an app from Krisp Technologies, Inc. in Berkeley (US). It removes background noise, echo and crosstalk from your audio, in any calling app. There is also an AI note-taker without a bot: Krisp makes transcripts, summaries and action items of your meetings in Zoom, Teams, Google Meet and Slack huddles, and via the mobile app also of in-person conversations. You can also have a bot join. According to the pricing page, transcripts and summaries work in 16 languages, including Dutch.
Krisp processes and stores data mainly in the US and is not established in the EEA or the UK; there is an EU representative in Czechia. Transfers out of the EU go through standard contractual clauses, and Krisp concludes a data processing agreement on request. The privacy statement leaves it to the customer to make sure users are well informed about recordings, so tell participants yourself that you are taking notes.
Good: noise cancellation and meeting notes in one app, without a bot, and Dutch is supported.
Less good: no permanent free plan on the pricing page, data in the US, and prices in dollars.
