- NDA up front only in the Data Rooms plans
What is Papermark?
Papermark is open-source software for sharing documents securely. You send a link instead of an attachment, see per page who read what, and bring documents together in a data room, for example for investors or an acquisition. With One-Click NDA, a visitor must first accept or electronically sign a confidentiality agreement before seeing anything. That is in the Data Rooms plans. Papermark names no eIDAS level for that signature; it is not a tool for having contracts signed. The site names no company or address; the terms fall under German law.
On Papermark Cloud, data is stored in the EU by default, at AWS in Frankfurt; hosting in the US is possible on Enterprise. The privacy statement does say that personal data may go to the US. The data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) applies through the terms. Anyone who wants full control can host Papermark themselves.
Good: prices in euros, a permanently free plan and data in the EU by default.
Less good: the NDA up front costs at least €99 per month billed annually, and for actually signing agreements you need a separate signing tool. The site does not mention a Dutch version.
