    Short verdict

    Good fit for

Freelancers who want to create unlimited invoices and quotes for free and want card payment on the invoice.

    Less suited to

Anyone looking for iDEAL or Peppol on the invoice; Zervant does not mention them.

    Key facts

    • Free plan with unlimited invoices and quotes
    • Payment reminders only from Start
    • Data processing agreement of parent company Ageras is online

    What is Zervant?

Zervant is invoicing software that is part of Ageras, the Danish group behind the Shine platform; Ageras A/S in Copenhagen is named in the privacy statement as the controller. You use it to create invoices and quotes, track income and expenses and let customers pay by card via Stripe. According to the data processing agreement, storage and backups run at Amazon Web Services, but Ageras does not rule out transfers outside the EEA, including to American sub-processors. The data processing agreement is online.

Good: the free plan has no limit on the number of invoices and quotes. Plus has phone support on working days from 09:00 to 21:00.

Less good: Zervant does not mention iDEAL and Peppol; e-invoicing is only named as a paid extra. Payment reminders and recurring invoices are not in the free plan.
