What is Qonto?

Qonto is an online business account from Qonto SA in Paris, a payment institution supervised by the French ACPR. You get an account with a Dutch IBAN (NL), create invoices, link receipts to transactions and send payment links with which customers pay by iDEAL, card or Apple Pay. On the pages reviewed, Qonto does not clearly say where customer data is stored; an older privacy statement names AWS in Germany, but also service providers in the US. We did not find a data processing agreement; for an account one is usually not applicable.

Good: the Starter plan costs nothing and already has invoicing and a Dutch IBAN. Integrations with Exact Online, Moneybird and e-Boekhouden.nl are on the site.

Less good: Starter has only a virtual card and 5 transfers per month. The site does not clearly say whether support and the app are in Dutch.
