What is Freshdesk?

Freshdesk is a helpdesk from Freshworks Inc., with a contact address in San Mateo (US). Questions become tickets that your team distributes, with automations, a knowledge base and the AI agent Freddy. WhatsApp, chat and telephony are in the more extensive Freshdesk Omni. The mobile app for agents is available in Dutch; for the web interface we did not find that confirmed.

At sign-up you choose where your data is stored, including in the EEA. Switching afterwards is only possible through support. The data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) applies from your first use of the service; you can request a signed copy.

Good: you choose an EEA data centre yourself, even on the cheapest plan, and you can try it for 14 days.

Less good: prices are in dollars and only with annual billing. For WhatsApp you need Omni, and Freshworks does not mention Dutch-language support.
